At MotoHut, we built our returns and exchange process to remove that risk entirely. Whether you ordered the wrong size, want to try a different model, or simply changed your mind, getting sorted is straightforward. This guide covers everything you need to know.

How to Return or Exchange Your Gear
The process is simple. Here's how it works from start to finish:
Fill Out the Returns & Exchange Form
Head to motohut.ca/pages/refund-policy and complete the form. Takes about two minutes. Tell us your order number, the item, and whether you're returning or exchanging.
Choose Your Return Shipping Method
Grab our prepaid return label for $20, or drop it off with your own courier if you'd prefer. Either way works.
Pack It Up and Send It Back
Return the item in its original packaging, unworn, with tags still on. Make sure it's in the same condition you received it.
We Process and Ship Your Exchange
Once we receive your return, we'll get your new size or item out to you fast. Exchange shipping is on us.
Why Sizing Is the #1 Reason for Returns
The most common reason customers return motorcycle gear in Canada isn't quality — it's sizing. And honestly, it makes sense. European motorcycle brands like REV'IT, Schuberth, and Pando Moto size differently than what most Canadians are used to. A medium in one brand can fit completely differently in another.
A few things that help before you buy:
- Check our brand-specific size charts — every product page has one.
- Measure your chest, waist, and inseam in centimeters before ordering jackets or pants.
- For helmets, measure your head circumference and cross-reference with the brand's fit guide. Head shape (round oval vs. intermediate oval vs. long oval) matters just as much as size.

That said, even with all the prep in the world, sometimes you need to size up or down. That's what the exchange process is for — use it without stress.
Return Shipping: Your Options
We give you two ways to send gear back:
- MotoHut Prepaid Return Label — $20: The easiest option. We generate the label, you print it and drop the package off at the carrier location. The $20 is deducted from your refund or exchange credit.
- Your Own Courier: If you have a preferred shipping account or want to compare rates, you're welcome to ship it back yourself. Just make sure to get tracking — we can't be responsible for packages that don't arrive.
Once we approve your return, the replacement size ships out free. No additional shipping charge on the exchange side.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I return motorcycle gear bought online to your Vancouver store?
Yes. You're welcome to bring it in to our location at 505 Burrard Street in the Bentall Centre, Vancouver. Bring your order confirmation and make sure the item is unworn with tags attached.
How long do I have to return or exchange gear?
30 days from the date of delivery. If you're close to the window, reach out to us and we'll work with you.
What if the item is defective or arrived damaged?
That's a different situation entirely. Email us photos at hello@motohut.ca and we'll sort it out. Defective or damaged items are handled separately from standard returns.
Do you offer free returns in Canada?
We offer a prepaid return label for $20 — one of the lowest flat-rate return fees in Canadian motorcycle retail. Exchange shipping (the new item going back to you) is always free.
Can I exchange for a completely different product, not just a size?
Yes, as long as the item is in original condition. Reach out to us first so we can confirm availability and price differences before you send anything back.
How long does a refund take?
Once we receive and inspect the return, refunds are processed within 5 business days back to your original payment method.
What items are non-returnable?
Items that have been worn, washed, or damaged are not eligible. Clearance items marked as final sale are also excluded. Check the product listing or reach out before ordering if you're unsure.
