The Tech-Air® 10 is the latest addition to Alpinestars’ Tech-Air® family of innovative airbag systems, joining the Tech-Air® Race, Street, and 5 models. Inspired by the MotoGP airbag technology used by professional riders, this slim, self-contained system offers unparalleled protection for track, road, and race riders by covering the shoulders, chest, full back, and hips.

Construction
The system features a dedicated charging base on its internal belt, with a wireless LED display that operates for 20 hours on a full charge. It comes with a USB charger and magnetic Type-C cable for quick and easy recharging. The airbag itself is certified for up to three inflations and includes breathable materials with air channels and a perforated back for improved comfort. Riders can easily attach it to the Tech-Air® 10 base layer using side zips, and the base layer is hand washable for convenience.

Protection
Tech-Air® 10 delivers the most comprehensive coverage of any airbag system available, reducing impact force by up to 95% compared to traditional protectors. Its electronic system features 12 sensors (three triaxial accelerometers and one triaxial gyroscope) powered by an AI-driven crash detection algorithm. Upon detecting a crash, the airbag deploys in just 40 milliseconds, providing the equivalent protection of 18 back protectors and earning CE Level 2 certification for both chest and back.

Note that the RACE mode is exclusively for closed-track use and should not be used for other riding scenarios.
